The Russian school of WA in Perth opened its doors in 1993 by a few enthusiasts from the Russian community. Veniamin Ageev was the first chairman of the school.

Larissa Sergeeva became the Principal after Veniamin Ageev. At that time, the school did not have a permanent location, and classes had to be held in different places.

In 2007, the school gained the status of “Russian ethnical school of Perth”. Classes were held on Saturdays at Beckenham Primary School and the chairperson was Elena Parker. The first students of the school were the teachers’ children.

Natalya Buck was a Chairperson of the school from 2008 till 2017.

The first years were especially difficult as there was no funding. To find teachers and volunteers was hard too. The School existed exclusively on donations from teachers and parents.

Nowadays, the school is located at 90 Roberts Rd, Subiaco, Mills Building, Perth Modern School.

From 2011 to 2013 the school expanded significantly. The number of students also increased. Students, teachers and parents participated in a variety of cross cultural events. The school was registered as the Russian Educational and Cultural Centre of WA. Nowadays, we have the ability to run fully-fledged Russian language classes with teaching and visual aids.
